Mixed Hockey

Mixed hockey on Monday nights was the starting point for JPC Hockey Club over five years ago. Today the training session offers a friendly and inclusive atmosphere for those of all ages, and skill levels. Although it is run and attended by JPC members we also welcome members from other churches, religions, denominations, friends or just people who want to play hockey in an friendly, informal environment. Mixed Hockey training takes place on Monday evenings from 7.30-9pm at Newcastle Royal Grammar School (view directions).

The training sessions are structured to allow complete beginners to practise basic skills (all kit provided), whilst more experienced players can revisit and refine their skill set. Each training session is concluded with a friendly game to allow players to practise the skills learnt. These sessions are undertaken by a wide variety of coaches and players attached to the Club to bring breadth to the training regime.

The club organise Mixed Hockey matches once a month against other local mixed teams, these replace the normal training session and are a popular feature of the club. Mixed hockey aims to be a fun, friendly and social evening activity. If you would like to attend please come along and introduce yourself or contact the club.
