The end of the season is nearly upon us - as ever we want to mark this occasion in style and have a range of different events on the go - do find the lowdown on everything we've got going on below.

28th April, 12pm - 4pm - Summer 7s
Our celebrations kick off with our Annual Summer 7s tournament, this years theme is, 'A Night at the Movies', Avengers vs Lion King, Star Wars vs Monsters Inc - you get the idea! This event is open to all club members from our older Juniors upwards. If you're planning on coming please click attending by the 20th April on the Pitchero event so we can assign teams.

28th April, 7pm till Late, End of Season Ball
Following on from our Summer 7s is our End of Season Ball at the Royal Station Hotel in Newcastle City Centre. The event is open to league and mixed club members, with Juniors who play league hockey are very welcome as well as friends and +1s.
If you're planning on attending it would be very helpful if you could have let us know by clicking 'attending' on the event page linked below by the 15th April and bought your ticket from the Payments page on the club website by the 19th April.

End of Season Awards
As part of our End of Season ball we like to give out some awards to recognise our team-mates. The voting form to cast your votes is linked below. We're instituting a new award this year to recognise players who consistently demonstrate the Spirit of the Club in their actions - so take the chance to vote for a player who always shows the Christian ethos of the club in the way they play.

12th May - Mixed Tournament + Club BBQ
Last year several of our members visited Mallorca and played in a friendly tournament with Mallorca Hockey Club. We're very happy to be welcoming them to join us and hoping they bring the sun with them too! In the daytime there'll be a Mixed Tournament with clubs from around the region taking part. Followed by a BBQ in the evening. Pete has already sent out info regarding the tournament - if you're not signed up to play you could help welcome, support or umpire. This BBQ will be a great opportunity to meet those visiting from Mallorca but also an opportunity to socialise with your own teammates, whether or not you played in the tournament that day. Buns, cheese and sauces will be provided but if folk could bring meat, drinks, salad and snacks that would be amazing.

17th May (TBC) - Club AGM
We'll be sending out more information about this in due course but our AGM is pencilled in for the 17th May. This is a key occasion in the club year where we elect officers to steward our club over the year to come. There's a number of people who have served the club for a number of years choosing to step down, do consider if you could step up and serve next year.
